Key stakeholders - patient, physician, nurse, pharmacist, pharmaceutical industry - need to be motivated to participate in the program. This puts communication at the centre of the project to ensure that the importance of such a program is well understood.
The next stage is an acceptance phase. This may involve country-specific adaptations of the basic program, and it will vary from stakeholder to stakeholder. To achieve this, medAmigo solutions are customized as much as possible to the stakeholders’ needs, in terms of local (e.g. centre ethical committee requirement), regional (e.g. different language), country (e.g. legislation) specifics, cultural adaptations and technical aspects.
To successfully implement a medAmigo service very little work is required on the part of each stakeholder. In contrast, a successful medAmigo service’ implementation will bring important advantages to each participant.
