The foundations of a successful medAmigo service are simplicity, clarity and empowerment. The key mantra is to keep it simple and make it easy. For that, the intervention message rests on the indissociable relation of the measurement, the analysis and the communication. In other words no optimal intervention is possible without an objective clear measurement (AARDEX), a detailed customized data analysis (Pharmionic Systems) and a concise, clearly stated intervention communication (medAmigo).
Patients use MEMS monitors for their daily drug regimen, real-time data is collected, monitored and transferred encrypted to Pharmionic Systems servers. This data is analyzed and screened vs. predictive algorithms. If algorithms do not detect an adherence upset, a report is sent to the physician. In contrast, if an adherence problem occurs a custom-built intervention is selected and proposed to the physician.
In two words, the medAmigo service offers:
