During the past 26 years, AARDEX has developed several generations of MEMS™ - Medication Event Monitoring Systems, together with an expanding array of statistical methods for analyzing the drug dosing histories that MEMS monitors collect. The comparison of the patient's drug dosing history with the prescribed drug dosing regimen is the basis for the quantitative analysis of adherence. The MEMS system transfers dosing history data from the MEMS monitor to a personal computer via the MEMS Reader. The dosing history data enter a database, which is analyzed by appropriate statistical means, and the resulting adherence analyses are displayed in a variety of easily interpreted graphic and tabular formats.
